The YPSL “welcomes” our new member club the Golden Ball Academy in Hampton, Virginia.

The Golden Ball Academy is managed by Jonathan Baca a former professional player at Liga de Quito in Ecuador and will bring its innovative, professionally run youth development system to the YPSL.

Andy Vera, Director of League Operations said this, “we are excited to have an organization with a strong commitment to player development be part of the YPSL and we look forward to watching their grassroots program excel over time.”

Golden Ball is committed to providing a well-rounded developmental environment for young soccer players in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia with their experienced training staff and coaches. Many of the “Academy” staff hold nationally and internationally recognized coaching badges, focusing on refining technical skills, enhancing athletic performance, and mastering match tactics.

The Golden Ball Academy will play in the growing Southern Division of the YPSL Mid-Atlantic Region starting this coming spring 2024.
